Holiday party transportation in Los Angeles: booking a chauffeur for December
Office parties, client dinners and family nights out: how an hourly chauffeur works for LA's holiday season, what it costs and which December nights to book first.
For a holiday party in Los Angeles, book an hourly chauffeur rather than two one-way rides. The car takes you there, waits while you are inside, and is at the door when you leave, whether that is 9 PM or after midnight. Our hourly rate is $138 an hour all-in, gratuity included, with a 3-hour minimum, and the rate is locked when you book. If your party is on a Friday or Saturday in December, book as soon as the date is set. Those are the nights everyone else picks too.
Why hourly beats two rides on a party night
- Nobody has to find a ride home at the end of the night, or decide who drives
- The car waits nearby, so leaving early or staying late is your call
- Several stops are one booking: drinks first, then the party, then dinner or a second party
- Coats, gifts and bags stay in the car instead of a coat check
- One rate, locked when you book, on the nights rideshare prices climb
What it costs
Hourly service is $138 an hour all-in, gratuity included, with a 3-hour minimum, so the shortest booking is $414. A typical evening, with the drive there, a three-hour party and the drive home, comes to about four or five hours. The same car and chauffeur stay with you all night. The booking page shows the exact price for your date before you pay.
Company parties and moving a team
For a company party, the question is usually how to get a group there and home again. Each Escalade ESV seats up to six passengers, so a team of twenty needs four cars, or fewer cars making more than one run. Tell us the headcount, the pickup points and the venue, and we will plan the cars as one trip with one quote.
Working out a ride while you read this? Get your price. Flat rate, gratuity included, locked when you book.
If your company books cars regularly, a corporate account puts every ride on one monthly invoice, with one point of contact for the whole season.
Which nights to book first
The nights to book first are the Fridays and Saturdays in December before Christmas, and New Year's Eve. They are the nights most parties land on, across the whole city. Weeknight parties have more room, but a week's notice is still wise.
Planning the night
- Send us the venue address and a rough end time, and your chauffeur plans the drive and where to wait
- Agree on a pickup spot before you go in. Hotel and restaurant valet lanes are the easiest
- Text your chauffeur when you are ready, and the car comes to the door
- If the night runs long, you can extend on the night if your chauffeur's schedule allows. If you already know it will be a late one, book the extra hours up front
