Three things about picking up on the coast.
Hotel arrival lanes
Shutters, Casa del Mar, the Fairmont Miramar and the Proper each have a different arrival lane, and Ocean Avenue itself has almost nowhere legal to hold. We work off the property's own drive rather than the street.
Ocean and Pico at weekends
The Pier approach and Ocean Avenue below Colorado are effectively parked from Friday afternoon. Pickups shift a few blocks inland to Second or Fourth, which costs a two-minute walk and saves a great deal more.
Twenty minutes to LAX, most of the time
Fifteen miles down Lincoln or the 405. Measured at twenty minutes and reliable outside rush hour — but the 405 south at 4pm is its own event, and we plan around it rather than hoping.

Santa Monica runs two lives at once. Silicon Beach fills the blocks between Ocean and Lincoln with people who need to be somewhere at nine, and the Pier, the Promenade and Montana Avenue fill the same streets with people who do not. Both happen on the same grid, which is why a car here is judged less on the vehicle than on whether the chauffeur knew which street to wait on.
Our standing work is the airport run to LAX14.8 miles down Lincoln or the 405, about 20 minutes measured, and a genuinely different trip at rush hour. For a day of meetings along the Westside corridor an hourly chauffeur is the better instrument than a string of point-to-point bookings: the car stays with you, the parking problem stops being yours, and a schedule that slips does not cost you a rebooking. For anything recurring, a corporate account puts it on monthly billing.

How much is a car service from Santa Monica to LAX?
Continental's flat rate from Santa Monica to LAX is $147 all-in, gratuity included, a locked rate. It is 14.8 miles and measures about 20 minutes with clear roads; the morning and evening crush on the 405 can push that past forty. We watch live traffic and recommend a departure time when you book.
Where do you pick up in Santa Monica?
Anywhere in the city. Ocean Avenue hotels (Shutters, Casa del Mar, Fairmont Miramar, Loews, Viceroy), Wilshire Corridor offices, the Annenberg Beach House, the Pier, North of Montana residences, and private addresses. At the hotels we coordinate with the bell captain and stage in the property's own loop rather than holding on Ocean, where there is almost nowhere legal to wait.
Do you offer hourly service in Santa Monica?
Yes, 3-hour minimum, $138/hr all-in. The usual Santa Monica cases: a day in the city with stops between hotels, restaurants, the Annenberg Beach Club, the Pier and Abbot Kinney; a half-day office tour for visiting executives; or a leisure day up PCH with stops in Malibu. Hourly is usually the cheaper instrument once a day runs past three stops.
Can you handle Pacific Palisades and Topanga pickups too?
Yes, both are inside our standard Westside service area. Palisades hotel pickups and private residences run at standard point-to-point rates. Topanga and the Canyon carry a small remote-area uplift, because the drive-in time is real and we would rather price it than fold it into everyone else's rate.
