What people keep it for
Meetings & roadshows
Multi-stop days across the Westside and Downtown. Your chauffeur waits; the car is your office between buildings.
Appointments & fittings
Rodeo Drive, showrooms, studios, medical. Door to door, bags stay in the car, nothing to re-book.
Showing guests the city
Hollywood, the coast, Griffith at golden hour. A driver who knows the order to do it in.
Wine country & day trips
Malibu, Santa Ynez, Temecula, Ojai. Long days on the road with someone else at the wheel.
Production & talent days
Scouts, press runs, and studio days. Discreet, on the clock, and unbothered by a schedule that moves.
Dinner & evenings out
Reservations, a show, and home. The car waits rather than being re-summoned each time.
How hourly chauffeur service in Los Angeles works
An hourly chauffeur is the most flexible way to move through Los Angeles. Unlike a point-to-point booking, a chauffeur by the hour stays with you for the entire reservation. Your driver waits while you are in meetings, holds bags while you shop, and takes you wherever you decide to go next, no re-booking, no waiting, no fare that moves after you book.
The rate is $138 per hour with a 3-hour minimum, gratuity already included, and it covers the chauffeur, a Cadillac Escalade ESV seating up to six, complimentary water, wait time, and unlimited stops. Whether that is three hours for a dinner outing or ten for a full day through Malibu wine country, the structure is the same, one rate for every hour you keep the car, with nothing to recalculate as the day grows. Hours run from your first pickup, and if the day runs long the extra time is added to the bill rather than re-quoted.
Coverage spans all of greater Los Angeles, from Beverly Hills to Pasadena, Santa Monica to Downtown LA. Need a one-way airport transfer to LAX instead? Those are flat-rate. Booking several days in a row for a visiting guest is handled as a multi-day charter , one car, one chauffeur, one proposal. See the full service menu for everything else.

Questions, answered
How much is an hourly chauffeur in Los Angeles?
Continental's hourly chauffeur service is $138 per hour all-in, with a 3-hour minimum, so a 3-hour booking is $414. That figure already includes the 20% gratuity, service and operational fee, the same way every price on this site is quoted. The base rate underneath it is $115 per hour. It covers the chauffeur, a Cadillac Escalade ESV seating up to six, wait time between stops, and unlimited stops within your booked hours. There is no real-time surge, the rate you book is the rate you pay.
What is the minimum booking for hourly car service?
3 hours. Most bookings run longer, a half day is typically four to five hours and a full day eight to ten. Every booked hour bills at the same rate, so a five-hour half day is $690 all-in and a ten-hour full day is $1,380 all-in, gratuity included in both. Hours run garage to garage from your first pickup, and if the day runs long the extra time is added to the bill rather than re-quoted.
Does the driver stay with me the whole time?
Yes. That is the point of booking hourly rather than point-to-point. The chauffeur and vehicle are yours for the full reservation, they wait while you are in a meeting, hold your bags while you shop, and take you wherever you decide to go next. There is no re-booking and no waiting for a new car between stops.
Can I book a chauffeur for several days in a row?
Yes, and it is arranged differently. Consecutive days are booked as a single multi-day program with one Escalade and one named chauffeur held for your dates, staged from your hotel each morning, with arrival and departure airport transfers folded in. Those are quoted as a program rather than by the hour.
What areas does hourly service cover?
All of Greater Los Angeles. Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Malibu, West Hollywood, Downtown LA, Pasadena, Calabasas, Studio City and beyond, plus day trips out to Santa Barbara, Ojai, Temecula, and Palm Springs. Mileage within your booked hours is not metered separately.
