Continental Luxury Car Service

Continental · Flat-rate transfer

LAX → Manhattan Beach.

$138 all-in is the whole figure for a private Cadillac Escalade ESV from LAX to Manhattan Beach, about 14 minutes of actual driving. It is the shortest premium transfer we run out of the airport: Sepulveda south through the tunnel under the runways, then down into the Beach Cities. Short does not mean simple, because the blocks west of Highland are narrow and steep and threaded with walk streets, so we confirm your cross street before your chauffeur commits to a curb.

Pickup

We meet you on the arrivals level at your terminal, at the numbered pillar outside the doors, once you text that you have your bags. Your flight is tracked from the moment it leaves its origin, so a late inbound costs nothing and your chauffeur simply shifts with it. Meet and Greet inside baggage claim is an optional add-on if you would rather be found than go looking.

Drop-off

We drop at the downtown Manhattan Beach hotels, along the Rosecrans restaurant corridor, at Manhattan Village, and at private homes on the numbered streets from 1st up past 45th. If your address sits on a walk street there is no curb to pull into, so we stop on the nearest vehicle street or in the alley behind the house and your chauffeur carries the bags in. Addresses east of Sepulveda around Manhattan Village are the same short run, so give us the building or the gate and we will plan the approach before your chauffeur is on the road.

Why Continental for this route

Manhattan Beach is close enough to LAX that the ride is shorter than the walk through the terminal, and that is exactly the problem: a five mile fare is the least attractive job on an app driver's screen, so it gets canceled, reassigned or sent up to departures by mistake, and you stand on the curb twice as long as the 14 minutes you spend in the car. One chauffeur is assigned to your flight and stays assigned to it, through a diversion, a gate change or an hour on the tarmac. For a family off a long haul that also means the whole party and every case go down Sepulveda together rather than in relays.

LAX to Manhattan Beach, common questions

How much is a car from LAX to Manhattan Beach?

$138 for the one-way transfer in a private Cadillac Escalade ESV with a professional chauffeur. A flat 20% gratuity is already inside that number, along with flight tracking and the wait while you clear baggage. The quote is locked when you book and never re-priced afterward, and we do not surge.

How long does the drive from LAX to Manhattan Beach take?

10-20 min for most of the day, since it is barely five miles down Sepulveda. Weekday evenings run 20-35 min, when the El Segundo office exodus and the Rosecrans dinner traffic land on the same stretch of road. The driving is short either way, so the slower half is usually getting out of the airport.

Can the car reach my house if I am on a walk street?

Not to the door, because a Manhattan Beach walk street is a pedestrian lane with no vehicle access. The numbered streets in the sand section are often the walk streets themselves, so we stop on the nearest street a car can actually use, Highland, Manhattan Avenue or Ocean Drive, or in the alley behind the property, and your chauffeur carries the bags the rest of the way. Give us the cross street when you book and he will be standing in the right place when you pull up.

What happens if my flight is late?

Nothing changes and it costs nothing. We track your flight by number, so a two hour delay simply moves your chauffeur's schedule with it. The same holds if the bags take a while, because arrivals are planned with that cushion already built in.

Is a late-night arrival any different?

Operationally, no. Red-eyes and 1am landings are routine work here, and the car is assigned to your flight whatever hour it touches down. Arrivals inside the late night window do carry a flat late night charge, and it is priced into the quote you approve rather than added after the ride, so there is no second number later. We do not surge and we do not re-price after booking.
