Continental · Flat-rate transfer
Newport Beach → LAX.
You plan this one backwards from the bag-drop cutoff rather than forwards from the 46 minutes of freeway it takes at six in the morning. $302 all-in in a private Cadillac Escalade ESV, with the 73 toll road or the 55 standing in whenever the northbound 405 stacks up around Costa Mesa. Pickups cover a 20 minute spread across the city, from the harbor resorts to Lido Isle, Balboa Island and the gated drives up in Newport Coast, so your chauffeur sets out from your address rather than from the middle of town.

Pickup
Newport makes you choose a pickup point, so we do it in advance: the porte cochere at a harbor-front resort, the wider end of a Balboa Island or Lido Isle block where a full-size car can actually sit, or the motor court inside a Newport Coast gate once the guard has your chauffeur on the list. For a pre-dawn departure he texts his name and the car when he sets out rather than waking the house on arrival, and the bags go in while you finish your coffee. On a summer weekend, when Marine Avenue and Via Lido fill with people, he will name the nearest corner a car can legitimately hold and walk in for the cases.
Drop-off
At LAX we use the upper departures roadway and stop at your airline's own curb, or at Tom Bradley if you are flying international. Your chauffeur unloads onto the sidewalk and gets you pointed at the right check-in bank before pulling away. If your terminal's upper curb is gridlocked that morning, say the word in the car and we will use the level below instead.
Why Continental for this route
Out of Newport the honest question is not how long the drive takes but which hour you leave in: between six and nine in the morning that forty-six minutes becomes well over an hour, because the northbound 405 through Long Beach and the merge toward the 105 fill inside the same half hour. No amount of optimism moves a bag-drop cutoff, so we set the departure time at booking against your airline's clock rather than against a traffic app's guess. The last mile counts too, because your chauffeur knows which departures ramp is moving at that hour, which decides whether you are set down at your airline's door or walking from the far end of the terminal.
Newport Beach to LAX, common questions
How much is a car from Newport Beach to LAX?
Newport Beach to LAX is $302 one way, gratuity included at a flat 20%. That buys the Escalade ESV, your chauffeur and the drive to your departure curb, with no demand surge on the rate and no re-pricing after you book. One thing to know on this route: a pickup between 11pm and 5am carries a stated late-night fee, so if your flight needs a 4am departure from Newport you will see that line on the quote before you pay.
How long does Newport Beach to LAX take?
Off-peak it is 42-58 min. In weekday rush, which here means the 6am to 9am northbound push and again after 3pm, plan on 75-105 min. We quote the slower number when we set your pickup, because arriving early at LAX costs you a coffee and arriving late costs you the flight.
What time should we leave for a morning flight?
For a domestic departure we usually leave Newport Beach about three hours before wheels up, and closer to three and a half for an international flight out of Tom Bradley. That covers the drive at its ugliest plus bag drop and security with room to spare. Give us your flight number when you book and we will put a pickup time on it.
How far ahead should I book this run?
A day or two ahead is comfortable, and earlier is better for a 4am or 5am pickup. Same-day is often possible too, though a same-day booking carries its own stated fee and a pickup before 5am carries the late-night one, both shown on the quote. We run one core fleet of these Escalades, so a quick text is the fastest way to confirm your hour is open.
How much luggage fits, and what if we are more than six?
One Escalade ESV seats up to six passengers with four large bags, which covers most Newport departures including golf clubs or a stroller in place of a case. If you are over that, we run a second Escalade on the same timing so the party stays together. Send us the headcount and the bag count when you book and we will tell you honestly whether one car does it.
