Continental Luxury Car Service

Private car service · Flat rate

LAX → Studio City.

Our LAX to Studio City car service is $202 all-in in a private Cadillac Escalade ESV, with about 34 minutes of driving when the Sepulveda Pass is clear. The route is simple, but the timing is not: the 405 north over the hill to the 101 east is the default line, and it is also the piece of freeway most likely to hold you up between 3pm and 7pm. Your chauffeur is tracking the flight before you land, so a late inbound moves the pickup rather than leaving you to find a car at the curb.

Pickup

Curbside on the LAX arrivals level is the default. Your chauffeur watches the flight, and once you have your bags you send one text and the car is at the numbered pillar outside your terminal as you walk out. If you would rather be met inside at baggage claim, Meet and Greet is an optional add-on at booking, and it earns its keep after a long international leg or with a family and a cart of bags.

Drop-off

Most arrivals at this end finish at a house above Ventura Boulevard, in the Colfax Meadows and Fryman Canyon streets, or at a Sherman Oaks, Toluca Lake or Valley Village address a few minutes either side. We also go straight to the hotels around Universal City, including the Sheraton Universal and the Hilton, and to the production offices along Ventura. Hillside driveways off Laurel Canyon are narrow, so your chauffeur pulls in rather than blocking the lane while the bags come out.

Why Continental for this route

The Pass is the whole job on this one, and it is exactly where a ride-hail driver starts improvising through canyon side streets and loses ten minutes doing it. Our chauffeurs hold the 405 to the 101 unless the Pass is genuinely stopped, in which case the alternative is coming up through the city and over Laurel Canyon instead, and when the 101 east is the slow piece they come off at Ventura Boulevard and run it surface. That is a call made on the day rather than out of habit. The finish matters too: a Studio City hillside address is not somewhere you want to be hauling four bags up from the street.

LAX to Studio City car service: common questions

How much is a car from LAX to Studio City?

$202. That covers the Cadillac Escalade ESV, your professional chauffeur and the gratuity, so there is no fuel surcharge and no tip expected at drop-off. The quote you accept is the quote you pay for the ride as booked, and we do not re-price it afterwards for traffic or for the route your chauffeur ends up taking. If the trip itself changes on the day, such as an added stop, a second address or a wait past the included hour, we tell you what it costs before anything is charged.

How long does LAX to Studio City take?

Plan on 28 to 40 minutes outside rush hour, which is realistic for 26 miles over the Sepulveda Pass at a normal pace. Weekday afternoons are a different trip at 55 to 85 minutes, with the worst of it from 3pm to 7pm when the 405 north stacks up well before the 101 junction. Arrivals after about 8pm usually land at the low end of the off-peak range.

Where exactly does my chauffeur wait at LAX?

At the numbered pillar on the arrivals level outside your terminal, which is the fastest way out of the airport on foot. Which pillar depends on the terminal you land in, so your chauffeur confirms it with you rather than leaving you to read signage with bags in both hands. If you would rather not come out to the curb at all, Meet and Greet at baggage claim is there as an add-on.

What happens if my flight is delayed or diverted?

The pickup moves with the aircraft, not the clock. We track the inbound from departure, so a late landing re-times the car rather than leaving you to find one, and once it is at the curb you have up to one hour of complimentary wait for a slow bag belt or a customs hold. If a diversion sends you to another airport, text us: we will say straight away whether we can reach you there and what that run would cost, rather than leaving a car sitting at LAX.

Can we stop on the way, or drop a second passenger in Sherman Oaks?

Yes to both, and it is better to tell us when you book so the time is built into the run. A quick stop on Ventura Boulevard or a second address a few minutes off the route is normal on this transfer. Add it to the notes on your booking and your chauffeur will have it before the car leaves for the airport.
