Studio City → LAX.
Studio City to LAX is a 26 mile departure in a private Cadillac Escalade ESV, $178 all-in, with roughly 32 minutes of driving on an empty road. Hollywood Burbank is far closer if your airline flies where you need to go, and we will say so if you ask. When the flight only leaves from LAX, the entire job is the departure time, because the 101 east and then the 405 south through the Pass both turn early in the morning.

Pickup
The two ways a Studio City pickup goes wrong are both settled before the car leaves. If you are going out from Radford, Universal or one of the Ventura Boulevard production offices, the drive-on list belongs to the studio and the production and never to a car company, so send us the clearance your production has issued and your chauffeur presents it at the gate; without it he holds outside the gate rather than leaving you to find him on Ventura. If it is a house on one of the narrow streets south of Ventura off Laurel Canyon or Coldwater, he is there ahead of the booked time with the engine off, the car already turned and the bags in before you are standing in the road. Either way the text comes from your address, not from the corner.
Drop-off
We use the LAX upper departures roadway and pull in at your airline's door, which means Tom Bradley for most international carriers and the domestic terminals further around the loop. Your chauffeur lifts the bags onto the curb and stays with the car until you are inside. Tell us the airline when you book: the loop runs one way, and on a busy morning the difference between the first terminal and the last is a real ten minutes.
Why Continental for this route
A 6am departure out of Studio City is won or lost before anyone gets in the car. Laurel and Coldwater fail at different hours, the 101 east builds from Universal City, and the 405 south through the Pass is unforgiving once the airport commute starts, so we set the pickup against those three rather than against the mileage. Re-routing over a canyon with a boarding pass in your hand is the part we are paid to prevent.
Studio City to LAX, common questions
How much is a car from Studio City to LAX?
$178, which includes the Escalade ESV, your chauffeur and the gratuity, so nothing is tacked on at the curb. The figure is quoted for this direction specifically, because a departure and an arrival out of the same driveway are not the same job for us, and it locks when you accept it. Anything added on the day, an extra stop or a second pickup, is priced with you first rather than after the fact.
How long does Studio City to LAX take?
26-38 min when the roads are genuinely clear, which is most of what happens before 6am and after 8pm. Weekday mornings and afternoons run 50-80 min, and the 405 south through the Sepulveda Pass is where almost all of that extra time is spent. We quote your pickup time against live conditions for the day, not against an average.
What time should the car pick me up for a morning flight?
For a domestic departure before 9am we usually suggest leaving around three hours ahead of the flight, and closer to three and a half for international out of Tom Bradley. That looks generous until you watch the Pass fill between 6am and 8am. Tell us the flight number when you book and we will come back with a specific pickup time rather than a rule of thumb.
Can you pick me up on a lot, at Radford or Universal?
Yes. Send the lot, the building or stage, and whatever gate clearance your production has issued, and your chauffeur will have it at the gate so the car comes to you inside rather than parking on Ventura. The clearance has to come from your side, so the earlier it reaches us the better. If it does not come through in time, the fallback is a staged pickup on a side street off Ventura rather than a car circling the block.
Can the price change after I book?
No. The figure you accept is the figure you pay, and we do not re-price a confirmed ride for traffic, for the route the chauffeur ends up taking, or because the day turns out to be busier than expected. If your plans change and you need a different time or a different airport, we requote openly before anything is moved.
